Join the Northwest Missouri Master Gardeners at the beautiful Remington Nature Center, overlooking the Missouri River in historic St. Joseph, for a day of learning, inspiration, and connection with area gardeners.

Spend the day with us as we experience the Missouri Master Gardener State Conference together. Enjoy outstanding educational sessions, great food, and plenty of opportunities to share ideas with gardeners who share your curiosity, creativity, and love of growing things. 

Come early, stay a little longer, and make a day of your visit to St. Joseph.  Take a self-guided tour of the Remington Nature Center, stroll along the Missouri River trails, or explore our historic downtown, museums, parks, restaurants, and more.

We are a group of passionate gardeners who will never have clean fingernails
or a lack of enablers at a nursery or plant sale!

If it has roots, we plant it. We grow it. We harvest it.

We make it into pretty arrangements. We make it into tasty dishes.

The Northwest Missouri Master Gardeners have grown from a small group of gardeners into a thriving chapter of nearly 50 members who love sharing our passion for plants, education, and community.

We're always learning, always growing, and always finding new ways to share our love of gardening with others.

Explore Our Chapter Gardens & Programs

Our chapter believes gardens are meant to be shared.  Throughout the year, we find creative ways to help gardens - and gardeners - grow.

From our annual plant sale featuring heirloom tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and milkweed to maintaining public spaces like the Purpose Garden, our members bring enthusiasm, creativity and a whole lot of gardening knowledge to every project.

Our chapter projects include: 

• Annual plant sale featuring locally grown favorites and pollinator-friendly plants

• Purpose Garden and other public garden projects

• Gardening education and outreach

• Opportunities to share gardening knowledge with neighbors throughout northwest Missouri.

Whether we're planting, harvesting, cooking, creating arrangements, or helping someone solve a gardening challenge, we love sharing what we grow and what we know.
