Meet the Cape Girardeau County Master Gardeners

We believe gardening has the power to educate, beautify, and bring communities together. As University of Missouri Extension Master Gardeners, we're passionate about helping gardeners of every experience level grow with confidence through education, demonstration gardens, and volunteer service throughout Cape Girardeau County.

From seed libraries and community gardens to public seminars and plant clinics, we enjoy sharing research-based horticultural knowledge that helps gardeners - and gardens - flourish.

Just outside the Extension Center, you'll find our All-America Selections (AAS) Demonstration Garden, featuring hundreds of labeled award-winning flowers and vegetables selected for exceptional garden performance.  It's the perfect place to discover new varieties, gather ideas for your own landscape, and see what thrives in southeast Missouri.

Education is at the heart of everything we do. Throughout the year, we also connect with gardeners through our Spring Gardening Seminar, Jackson in Bloom Plant Give-a-way, quarterly Using and Cooking with Herbs classes, public garden tours, and plant clinics.
