MOMGA SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING APRIL 1, 2014
BLANCHE KELLY, MOMGA TREASURER, VISITS THE CAPITOL TO REQUEST MASTER GARDENER WEEK
Blanche testified Thursday, April 3, 2014 for the Master Gardener Week bill before the Tourism and Natural Resources Committee and later was introduced on the House floor. What a neat, nerve-racking, wonderful experience! She received lots of positive feedback about her testimony and Farm Bureau also spoke in support of the bill. The committee did not act on it on Thursday, so now it is a waiting game. Her representative, Ed Schrieffer from Lincoln County, told her that it’s not unusual for bills of this type to take 2-3 years to get passed. We’ll see and try again next year if we have to!
Next Quarterly Board Meeting Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, 9:30 am – Columbia Library, 100 W. Broadway, Columbia, Mo. unless otherwise noted. RSVP to Mary Medina at firstname.lastname@example.org
